“Education for Everybody” is a philosophy most people would uphold. This edict by definition includes the provision of education for people from all walks of life whatever physical or mental challenges they have overcome.
In recent years, there have been major changes implemented within the education system with regard to the principle of inclusion and the right to a mainstream education wherever possible. Throughout the UK our network of schools and colleges has been expanded to cater for the needs of people facing learning difficulties. As a result of this, special schools in the UK have been able focus more strongly on children with severe and complex educational needs.
These schools provide a specialist service ensuring that each person has the opportunity the reach their potential in an environment designed to take into account their unique circumstances.
